A stunning Art-Deco petite Gladstone Bag with a single run of Crocodile skin from front to back. The leather is buttery soft with a strong braided leather handle. The hardware fittings are gilded on solid brass with a dual locking brass top with flip locks and front clasp. It opens wide, with its push out metal frame, for full access to the inside. The interior is gloriously rendered in a faille/grosgrain fabric with an open side pocket for cards, papers etc. There is also an attached change pocket finished with a light tan coloured leather with its own kiss-clasped closure fitting.

‘Art Deco Accessories’
The Art Deco era recalls some of the most smartest and sophisticated design ever seen. This particularly affected ladies fashions, where artisan designers supremely crafted accessories, inserting details echoing the bold geometric forms of the 1920’s & 30’s. This brought a striking touch to all manner materials including precious metals and stones, clothing and leather.

In excellent condition overall with no rips or tears, this bag retains all its integrity. One bottom corner seam stitching has come apart, about 2cm in length. It has developed a beautiful aged-worn patina to the general colour and brass gilding. The handle is good and true and the interiors is in super order.
